Introduction

Hi internet world, I don't know if this will ever be read, but I'm hoping to learn a bit about myself, challenge myself, and really give myself something to look back on in a year in hopes of seeing growth (or, really, shrinkage!). I recently went and had my cholesterol checked, and, well, for a 34 year old...it wasn't good!!! My cholesterol number was 268, my bad was around 170+ and my good was only around 60+. I'm hoping to change that, but it is going to take work.

A little about me:
I'm 34 years old, and a mom of three boys (all about to turn another year older, but at this time they are 4, 6, and 8). We are trying to conceive our fourth at this time, which is another reason I would like to get the cholesterol under control. I am 5'3 and 155lbs!!! That's only 15lbs less than I weighed when I delivered two out of three of my boys!!! I am a part time student and full time mom, and graduating from Texas Tech this May!!! I homeschool two out of three of my boys and hoping to bring the oldest home from school this fall as we are having so much fun in this journey.

I just renewed my distributorship to Herbalife, so I am hoping to use their products in my journey. Right now I am taking Florafiber (although, I may go look for an alternative, I feel that any kind of acidophilus should be refrigerated to keep cultures alive and I can probably find a good alternative for fiber if I feel I need it, but right now I don't think I have a deficiency in my diet). I am taking the multivitamin, but, again, I plan on comparing prices and ingredients. I have been taking Perfect Prenatal by New Chapter, which is a food based vitamin. I was told by the guy that I talked to about the Herbalife Product line that theirs was food based as well, I will do my own research. I am also taking Cell Activator, which is said to create an environment in your body that will more readily absorb nutrients. Along with supplements, I am using Formula 1 shakes with Protein Drink Mix. I plan on increasing these to twice a day, but I am only drinking one right now.

Well, if you've gotten this far I commend you! If you have any advice, I'd LOVE to hear it!! I'm hoping that this little blog will not only help me stay on track but may help others in the process! :o) Sometimes I will probably talk about our homeschool journey, sometimes MY schooling, but always I will discuss my daily food diet in hopes of staying accountable!
